You are held responsible for information forwarded to you through Cannon Mail so it becomes very important that you check your Cannon Mail account on a regular basis.

Access to and the use of Cannon Mail is considered a privilege which may be immediately withdrawn for any reason deemed appropriate by the College.

By logging into Cannon Mail, you accept and agree to comply with the College's Acceptable Use Policy and the limitations inherent in any electronic information.

Login Directions

Your login ID is a combination of your first initial, your last name (all in lower case) and the month and day of your birth date (in four digit format- mmdd).

Your password is your birthday, in six-digit format. You must change your password as soon as possible.

Here are some examples:

• John Doe was born June 5, 1985.
  ID = jdoe0605
  Password = 060585
  Email Address = jdoe0605@students.sunyjefferson.edu
  
  
• Jane Doe-Smith was born October 13, 1976
  ID = jdoe-smith1013
  Password = 101376
  Email Address = jdoe-smith1013@students.sunyjefferson.edu

  Email Address = joconner1231@students.sunyjefferson.edu

Changing Your Password

1. Login in to Cannon Mail.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Password (in the top right of the screen).
4. Type your Old Password. Press <Tab>.
5. Type your New Password. Press <Tab>.
6. If desired, type another e-mail account to email a forgotten password.
7. Click the Modify button.
8. The message "Your password has been modified" will appear.
9. Click Mailboxes to return to Cannon Mail.
